Ryanair announced late Friday (Feb 26th), that they just managed to create the world's most expensive inflight meal ever, worth a whopping 10,000 Euros.
The new creation was first served to a passenger on a Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DWW performing flight FR-1724 from Krakow (Poland) to East Midland,EN (UK).
Flight attendants were handing out scratch cards, when one passenger found his card winning 10,000 Euros in cash. The flight attendants congratulated the winner and pointed out how to claim his win with the scratch card company.
The passenger however became upset that he didn't get handed the money right on board of the aircraft and "decided to digest his win - literally!".
Ryanair's Steve McNamara said, Thursday's (Feb 25th) "events prove that while Ryanair’s scratch cards offer large cash prizes they clearly taste great too! Crew tried to stop the air Gourmet Scratch Card eater by offering him one of our great tasting sandwiches, pizzas or snacks instead, but clearly he had much more expensive tastes!"
The prize will now go unclaimed, Ryanair continued, so that the scratch card company and Ryanair decided to offer the prize for charity. Ryanair passengers are now asked to vote, for which charity this prize should be donated with following choices:
1. An Anger Management Charity
2. An Eating Disorder Charity
3. A Gamblers Charity
4. A Disruptive Children’s Charity
5. A Mental Health Charity
