New addition to the Helicopters section - the Bell AH-1W Super Cobra ! Sleek and effective, the Super Cobra is the classic battlefield helicopter, combat-proven in Vietnam and the Gulf. This AlphaSim package pays homage to a US Marines version from the 1991 Gulf conflict. The paintwork depicts a war-worn example, custom sounds add to a movie-like image in the sim. The FSX version has the full spec - bump mapping, glass bloom and self-shadowing. The flight dynamics are finely tuned and come with a full checklist, reference card and an Operations Manual in .doc format. The v-c as usual is detailed and the 2D panel sports a large-format HUD with adjustable brightness. The pilots can be toggled on/off and the externally mounted missiles and rocket pods can also be removed using a keypress. The chin gun and sensor pod on the nose are animated with joystick input. Update available now for the AH-1W Super Cobra ! This free update adds re-sized pilots and puts the landing light in the correct position. The FSX version also has improved bump-mapping, glass reflection and the weapons can now be toggled off like the FS9 version.
Download the update patch Zip by logging into your personal download area in the Shop (the 'My Downloads' icon') and access the AH-1W download page by clicking a download link in your Recent Purchases section. This will use up a download, so just mail us if you need more or would just like to have it reset.

Version 1.3 available now for the FSX AH-1W Supercobra ! This update provides full SP2/Acceleration compatibility. It adds v-c self-shadowing and v-c nighttime gauge illumination.
