The AN-148 has got certificates



On February 26, 2007, very important event for Ukrainian and Russian aviation took place. AN-148, regional jet of a new generation, started in life. This airplane was created in a wide international co-operation. Dozens of companies from 12 countries of the world are involved in the project. Having performed vast programme of the certification tests the aircraft proved its compliance with the requirements of the АP-25Aviation rules of CIS countries and European CS-25.

That event became a result of big work. AN-148 airplane, its engine Д-436-148 and APU АИ-450-МС received certificates of the Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee (AR IAC) and State Aviation Authority of Ukraine. The certificates were handed over by T.G. Anodina, Chairman of IAC, and N.N. Rudkovskii, Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine. D.S. Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV ASTC, received the certificate for the aircraft, F.M. Muravchenko, General Designer of Ivchenko-Progress SE, received the certificate for the engine, and V.A. Boguslayev, President of Motor Sich JSC, received the certificate for the APU. Handing the certificates, T.G. Anodina in particular said: “ The aircraft is certificated in accordance with the latest norms of air-worthiness of CIS and Europe, on noise and ecological levels it meets the latest requirements of ICAO- Chapter 4”.

V.F. Yanukovich, Prime-minister of Ukraine, A.A. Moroz, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of embassies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, India, Libya, Iran, managers of the enterprises partners on the AN-148 programme and airlines took part in the ceremony of solemn handing of the certificates.



During the solemn ceremony the agreement on purchase of 10 AN-148 aircraft on terms of leasing was signed between Ilushin Finance Co. and Polyot Russian airline
