1. Automatic Update of Airports in New Revision
Airports in need of update after a new revision are clearly marked in the Download Manager and also in the Chart Viewer interface (provided that Airport Index is included).However, it can be a tedious task to mark and place all airports in the download queue. Therefore, upon the completed download of the Airport Index the nDAC will ask the user if the aiports in need of update should be placed in the download queue. The download will commence momentarily after all files have been placed in the queue. From this point onwards the procedure is the same as before. Completed files will deduct 1 credits (updates are
only 1 credit) and the user will be asked if completed files should be
installed. So, from being a potential 1 000 click operation, this task has
now been reduced to only 2 clicks. Just because we can, we also added the feature to select download all airports in one go.
2. Regularly Suggested Backup Routine
To make sure you always can revert back to a working version of your nDAC you should perform regular backups. It is not sufficient to only copy the APT files. For this reason nDAC has an export function. But, to be useful, it must be made on a regular basis. It is easy to forget, so therefore nDAC comes with a scheduled backup reminder. For those of you who use alternate backup routines or just enjoy living life on the edge this feature can of course be disabled in the settings menu.
