Ich such mal...
Zitat
Hi all,
I'm sure alot of you are wondering about our 737 project, since we haven't updated in months, I thought now would be a good time to let you all know what's going on.
Models:
The model is pretty much there now, the FS9 model was ready for release about a month ago, but we need a simultaneous release with the FSX one, which has been nothing but trouble since May. As we added pilots, windscreen wipers and other details GMAX suddenly decided to die, causing our 737 .gmax and all previous .gmax files of the 737 to stop exporting. We've spent the last 3-4 months trying to get that thing to export to no avail. Although yesterday Tom made a break-through - so we now have both FSX and FS9 models. Please keep in mind this model was originally designed for FS9, so it may not have all the high poly detail you've come to expect.
Textures:
For the FSX model we've completely redesigned the paintkit, it's now 4096x4096 compliant. Not only this, Ron and myself have added all the custom goodies such as bump maps, specular maps, custom environment maps, Fresnel ramps - you name it. We've got a whole host of liveries coming to you, the full list being published soon. Textures are where this aircraft will really shine (no pun intended).
Flight Dynamics:
Martyn has done a cracking job at making both FS9 and FSX native FDEs for this aircraft. Using his real world experience and guided by guys who fly the 'real deal', this is one hell of an FDE. This aircraft will be a challenge to handle for those used to default aircraft, and a breeze to those used to the real things.
Sounds:
While we can't promise anything at the moment, since the sound designer who's working on the soundset is currently extremely busy, we should have a top notch soundset coming to you soon designed by someone who's regarded the best in the business.
Effects:
Unfortunately our FX designer has been busy aswell recently, so our best option is to release without the custom 3D lights and other effects as bug fixing will not be possible for a while.
Release Schedule:
We will release the 737 when it is done, which will be quite soon.
Further updates will be made as we get closer, but I really feel like we're on the home stretch now.
Regards,
Jordi
